Current database trials

The following extended database trials are available to VALE member institutions. Notification of the availability of VALE-wide trials is initially posted to the VALE mailing list. Members interested in a trial are advised to follow the steps below. Members interested in recommending one or more of these databases for consideration as a possible VALE offering are advised to complete the online Database Recommendation Form:

IGI Global Journal and E-Book Full-Text Databases

The following databases are currently available for trial access (VALE libraries have "click-through" access through the links below):

InfoSci-Journals - [Database description] [Titles currently included]
The InfoSci-Journals database is a rapidly expanding full-text collection of peer-reviewed journals focused on cutting-edge, specialized topics in advanced technology research as well as the organizational, managerial, behavioral, and social implications of technology. There are 29 titles now available in the database, and IGI Global will increase that number to 60 titles by the end of 2008, with plans for an additional 40 titles to be added in 2009.

InfoSci-Books - [Database description (in PDF)] [Titles currently included]
InfoSci-Books, a fully searchable database providing access to chapters from every book and reference work IGI Global has published since the year 2000. IGI Global is an industry-leading publisher of scholarly research on advanced computer science and information technology research with an especially strong focus on the role, impact, and effective use of technology across a variety of settings, including business, education, health care, government, and more. The database currently includes over 700 titles, including monographs, case studies, conference proceedings, and reference books.


Bureau van Dijk Electronic Publishing - Company Information Databases

Bureau van Dijk Electronic Publishing (BvDEP) offers an extensive range of company information products that combine high quality data from many sources with innovative software. Trial access access available to VALE libraries from BvDEP through September 18, 2008.
