Users' Conference Proposals

VALE Users' / NJ ACRL / NJLA CUS conference blog

Hello Colleagues!

Can it be that time already? In order to give you more time to prepare presentations, the Planning Committee for the next VALE / NJLA CUS - NJ ACRL Conference, slated for January 9, 2008 at the Busch Campus Center of Rutgers University, met on May 22 to set things in motion.

The Committee chose the theme - “Mission Possible: Partnering for Change”. Conference co-chairs this year are Joan Getaz, Camden County College, representing the VALE Executive Committee, and Karen Topham, Brookdale Community College, representing NJLA CUS - NJ ACRL. Once again, Rich Kearney, WPUNJ, has volunteered to coordinate the Breakouts Subcommittee, while Ruth Hamann, Passaic County Community College, will coordinate the Posters Subcommittee. Lunch Table Discussions will be offered again this year as a less formal opportunity to share ideas and experiences with other librarians on topics of interest, E

Therefore, you will find 3 calls for proposals:

Please note the requirements for each and be sure you follow the guidelines for the type of proposal you wish to make. Do not hesitate to email or phone Rich (973-720-2165) or Ruth (973-684-5880) or Eleonora (732-571-4402) with any questions.

If you head a VALE or ACRL committee and would like to propose a breakout or poster or table discussion for that group, we welcome it You still need to submit a proposal to the appropriate coordinator so we can set aside space for it and include it in the program book.

Thanks for your participation in advance. It is your enthusiasm that has drawn 250 NJ academic librarians to this conference each of the last two years!
