NJVID and BioMEDIA ASSOCIATES are pleased to announce

 FREE TRIAL OF BioMEDIA VIDEO TITLES

BioMEDIA ASSOCIATES has generously agreed to offer a free trial of their video offerings via NJVid from September 7, 2010 thru October 15, 2010. During this trial period, all VALE members whose institutions are members of NJTrust (see below) may log in at http://njvid.net and access BioMEDIA’s videos.  This is a great opportunity for staff and faculty at your institution to sample BioMEDIA’s content in order to decide whether to license it.  VALE members that already have active licenses of BioMEDIA’s content currently may access the video collection through NJVid and may continue to do so upon completion of the trial period for the remainder of their license term.

How to locate the BioMEDIA video collection on NJVid

1. Follow this link http://njvid.net/showcollection.php?cid=njcore00000000053

2. Go to http://njvid.net and click on “BioMEDIA ASSOCIATES Collection” within the Browse Collections menu box on the right-hand side of the home page.

How to log in to access the BioMEDIA videos

1. Go to http://njvid.net.
2. At the topmost right-hand corner of the homepage, click on “Login.”
3. At the “Select an identity provider” webpage, click on the drop down box labeled “Choose your institution” and select your affiliated institution.  If you do not see your institution listed, this indicates your institution is not yet a member of the NJTrust statewide authentication service.  To join, consult the “How to join NJTrust” instructions below.
4. Click the “Select” button to the right of the drop down box.
5. Enter the username and password you use to log into your office computer on campus.
6. From the NJVid homepage, click on “BioMEDIA ASSOCIATES Collection” within the Browse Collections menu box on the right-hand side of the home page OR follow this link http://njvid.net/showcollection.php?cid=njcore00000000053
7. Click on the title of a BioMEDIA video you wish to view.

Note: All staff, faculty and currently-enrolled students at your institution should be able to log into NJVid using their individual institutional usernames and passwords as described above.

How to join NJTrust

You will need to have Shibboleth installed in your campus for you to access the BioMEDIA collection. If you already have Shibboleth installed, instructions on joining NJTrust can be found at http://njtrust.net/metadata. If you need guidance in setting up Shibboleth or joining the federation, please visit the NJTrust website (http://njtrust.net) or contact sujay.daniel@njedge.net.
